TOWN OF SWEDEN seeks full-time head of buildings and grounds department. Responsibilities include maintenance of Town buildings (Town Hall and Community Center) and 156-acre Sweden Town Park with several buildings, athletic fields and recreational structures. Supervision of year-round maintenance and custodial staff as well as seasonal laborers. Seeking a working foreman with strong managerial, problem-solving and administrative skills. Knowledge of building mechanical systems and groundskeeping/athletic fields care. Works largely in support of the Town’s Recreation Department. Some evenings and weekends are involved. Municipal experience a plus but not required. Competitive salary and benefits including NYS Retirement. Salaried position reporting directly to the Sweden Town Board.
