SCHOOL TAX COLLECTION

FULL PAYMENTS:

Sept 1 - Oct 1, 2026 Total amount of tax bill payable to Sweden Tax Receiver - no interest

Oct 2 - Oct 31, 2026 Add 3% interest to total amount payable to Sweden Tax Receiver

Nov 1 - Nov 18, 2026 Add 5% interest to total amount payable to Monroe County Treasurer, PO Box 14420, Rochester, NY 14614

INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS:   

1st Installment - pay by Sept 15, 2026 payable to Sweden Tax Receiver

                          Sept 16 - Sept 20, 2026 - add 1% interest to installment amount payable to Sweden Tax Receiver 

If 1st installment is NOT paid by Sept 20, 2026, the installment plan is no longer available.

2nd & 3rd Installments:  Payable to Monroe County Treasurer, PO Box 14420, Rochester, NY 14614                                                         

NO PAYMENTS will be accepted after November 18, 2026

Acceptable forms of payment are cash, money order, and personal or bank check.  There is a $20.00 charge for all returned checks. We do not accept credit or debit cards in person.  Please visit the Monroe County website to pay by credit or debit card.

PLEASE NOTE: Payments made by mail MUST be postmarked by the due date or the payment WILL be considered delinquent.  If the payment is received after the due date, interest will be applied.
